JUNIOR BLACK DEAF ADVOCATES

Black History Month at Indiana School for the Deaf

JUNIOR BDA

Junior Black Deaf Advocates (Jr. BDA) is a student organization at the Indiana School for the Deaf (ISD). ICBDA and ISD are collaborating to nurture the next generation of Deaf leaders. This organization provides a safe space for Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color (BISOC) to learn about their self-worth, rights, and responsibilities. It also allows BISOC to express their concerns about education, politics, economics, and social issues. Lead by Marissa Babineaux, this extraordinary program is the first of its kind in ISD’s history!
